International Workshop on Intelligent E-government

Main Conference:

The 2008 IEEE/WIC/ACM International Joint Conference
on Web Intelligence and Intelligent Agent Technology (WI/IAT'2008)

Venue:

Sydney, Australia, December 9 -12, 2008
Workshop Day: December 9, 2008

Workshop Description:

Intelligent method and technology in E-government has attracted increasing attention as a research focus. The construction of related application systems still stays in the status of experiential and low-level accumulation knowledge and information. Good practicability and intelligence are not well illustrated in these existing developed systems which also cannot respond flexibly to the changes of government business. As a result, the things as such hinder the further development of E-government seriously. Based on such methods as agent, semantic web, ontology, and so on, the development and present situation of E-government is discussed, the problems on the construction of intelligent E-government are analyzed as well. In order to enrich the theory and technology of intelligent E-government, intelligent office system, decision support system, intelligent integration of information resources and intelligent business process integration are also deeply discussed in this workshop, which provides solutions to some pivotal problems.

The workshop will be an important part of events of the IEEE/WIC/ACM International Conferences on Web Intelligence and Intelligent Agent Technology which has been ranked top 15 among 620 Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning conferences in the following popular rankings:
